Committees
The following is a list of operating committees of the Yale Club of Boston. If you are interested in learning more about or joining a committee, please contact the committee chair at the address provided.
Events Committee

The Events Committee is responsible for the Yale Club's programming, including the organization and promotion of our events, approval and supervision of events planned by volunteers or partner organizations, and coordination with student groups and university departments that put on events in Boston.
Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is charged with managing and maintaining the Yale Club's online presence, including its website, email communications, and social media accounts; as well as producing the annual report to the members and occasional paper communications.
Finance and Audit Committee

The Finance and Audit Committee is tasked with tracking the Yale Club's revenues and expenses, projecting future cash flow, recommending budgetary measures, maintaining our financial records, and supervising the preparation of our tax returns.
Leadership Committee

Under our bylaws, the Leadership Committee exists "to nominate persons to serve as directors and officers of the Corporation"; individuals so nominated are then voted on by the members at the annual meeting. The committee is reconstituted every year.
Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for promoting membership; overseeing our member benefits programs, including our partnership with the Boston College Club, and cultivating new benefits for members; recruiting local alumni to membership; and soliciting and reviewing members' feedback on the direction of the club.
Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee was created in 2019 to oversee the club's activities involving current and prospective Yale students. Going forward, the committee will run the Yale Book Award and Community Service Fellowships programs, serve as the board's liaison to the Alumni Schools Committee, and investigate opportunities to expand our outreach initiatives at the direction of the board.
Service Committee
Caroline Dewing and Carolyn Yao, Co-Chairs

The Service Committee coordinates the Yale Club's community service activities, including our work with the homeless shelters in Harvard Square during academic breaks; and assists individual alumni who want to plan or promote service opportunities. It is particularly responsible for organizing the Yale Day of Service in Boston.
Young Alumni Committee

The Young Alumni Committee is the Yale Club's liaison to alumni from the last ten graduating classes. The committee is responsible for all young alumni events and the Young Alumni Bulletin, an occasional supplement to our regular newsletter.
