The Yale Club of Boston is continuing its tradition of service at local shelters during the holidays, covering shifts at the Y2Y Network, the nation’s first youth-led youth homeless shelter. Normally staffed by undergraduates, the shelter is always in need of volunteers to work in their kitchens during school breaks.
This January, we're looking for volunteers to prepare and clean up after the evening meal, clean the space, and assist the shelter staff during the following time slots:
Friday, January 9: Dinner Shift (6:45 PM - 9:15 PM) - please register below
Friday, January 16: Dinner Shift (6:45 PM - 9:15 PM) - please register here
If all the spaces are filled for a given shift, please email service@yaleboston.org to be added to the waitlist. We will be in touch with registrants with more detailed logistics and instructions.
On-street parking is available with a meter or in area garages. The shelter is within easy walking distance of Harvard Square (Use the T Red Line, Harvard Square stop)
Volunteers must be over 21 years of age. This volunteer site and activity are not handicap accessible.
