The Boston Bulldogs Running Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2015 to provide support for those affected by addiction including those in recovery, family members, friends, and allies through running, wellness and community. With over 500 members organized into Chapters in Chestnut Hill, Quincy and Plymouth the Club hosts 5 runs a week in four different locations and several vital programs including an orientation program for new members, programs for at-risk youth and direct outreach to area recovery centers, sober houses, shelters, schools and jails.
Our 2025 Run for Recovery 5K and Tribute will be a major fundraiser for the Boston Bulldogs. It will feature live and virtual events with distance choices of 1.55 miles or 3.1 miles (5K). The event will include a Festival of community and business organizations that support wellness in recovery. The day's program will also include a moving Tribute to honor those we have lost to addiction and their families and supporters.
Volunteers will be needed in various capacities such as course spotters, manning water tables, serving food, directing traffic, and setting up and breaking down.
This will be an outdoor event so please dress in comfortable athletic gear, running shoes, and bring sunblock or a windbreaker if needed.
All ages are welcome and no heavy lifting is required.
Volunteers may need to walk during the event.
