158th Anniversary Dinner

$85.00
sold out

Please note: ticket sales will close on Thursday, January 18th, so we can finalize our catering order.

Our oldest tradition, dating back to our first meeting at on January 29th, 1866, is a midwinter dinner. For decades after that momentous meal, it was the only event we produced! In recent years, it has served as a link to the club’s history and a celebration of its community of members.

We’ll return to the Parker House, the same place where we were founded (and initially known as “the Yale Alumni Association of Boston and Its Vicinity”) for a three-course dinner in the terrace room on the hotel’s top floor, with views of the city and and outdoor area to enjoy if the weather permits. There will be a cash bar, with the Yale Cocktail as a featured drink – one of the many historical touchstones with which this evening is replete.

This event is open to members and their guests. Note that there will be a cocktail reception beginning at 6pm, and we will sit down to dinner at 7pm.

Please make your entree selections at the time you register. If you have dietary restrictions other than those noted here, please select the “other dietary restriction” option and contact us at membership@yaleboston.org so we can accommodate you.

The entree options are:
Roasted Chicken: Murray's Farm organic chicken breast, with mashed potatoes, baby carrots, and chicken jus
Eggplant Involtini (vegetarian, can be made vegan) with Maple Brook Farm ricotta, mozzarella and Parmigiana Reggiano and roasted Maine tomato sauce
Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon with sautéed baby spinach, rice, lemon butter sauce
Pan Seared Sirloin: Grilled 8oz 1853 Aged Black Angus Sirloin, with fingerling potatoes, spring vegetables, caramelized shallots, and a red wine reduction
