Every fall, the Yale Club of Boston hosts a reception to welcome new alumni and Yale-affiliated newcomers to Boston. It's a great opportunity to connect with new and familiar Yale faces, many of whom are recent graduates.
This year, we'll gather once again on the Charles River Esplanade on Thursday, September 25 from 7 to 9 pm. We've reserved a section of Night Shift Brewing's Esplanade beer garden, near the Hatch Shell, between Berkeley and Clarendon Streets along the Storrow Lagoon. Use the Dartmouth Street footbridge (map) for access.
Admission is $25 per person for dues-paying members of the Yale Clubl of Boston and $30 for non-members. Everyone who registers will receive two drink tickets, valid for beer, wine, hard seltzer, or soft drinks. There will be a food truck on site, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food and snacks to the event.
If the beer garden is closed due to inclement weather on September 25, the event will be rescheduled; the rain date is Thursday, October 16.
Please note: use the Dartmouth Street footbridge (map) for access and as your drop-off location if you are using rideshare. The Copley station on the MBTA’s Green Line is a 7-minute walk away. There is no parking at the venue. On-street parking in Back Bay can be lim ited; the Boston Common Garage on Charles Street, between the Public Garden and the Boston Common (a 15-minute walk), is one option. The Esplanade strives to be accessible, but there are some challenges, particularly around the venue due to steep footbridge ramps.
We're looking forward to seeing you!
