Yale Day of Service: Bikes Not Bombs

Saturday, May 11, from 12-3 pm
Bikes Not Bombs, 10 Harvard Street, Dorchester, MA (map)

Please note: this event is currently full. If you are interested in partcicipating, please still register at the link below, in case an opening occurs.

Come join other Yalies at Bikes Not Bombs - a non-profit that uses bicycles as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South.

We have a fun and meaningful afternoon planned.  We will be helping "strip" bikes (i.e., taking all the parts off a bike), sorting parts, "flattening" bikes (i.e., turning the handle bars sideways for shipping), and cleaning the warehouse.

All skill-levels and ages are welcome!  Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Please wear closed-toed footwear and try to wear clothes that can get dirty.

The warehouse is accessible by public transit (multiple buses stop out front, or Fairmount Commuter Rail to Four Corners/Geneva) and by car.  On-street parking is available.

Please register for this event on the Yale Day of Service volunteer portal:
