Yale Day of Service: Drumlin Farm Spring Planting & Farming

Join us for a morning of planting and farming at the Massachusetts Audubon Society's Drumlin Farm, South Great Road, in Lincoln (map).

Farmer Hannah will start the session with a short talk on sustainable farming. Volunteers will work alongside Hannah and help with agricultural field chores. The season is getting started and the fields are green and lovely.

  • Tasks could include transplanting, weeding, and mulching.

  • Bring comfortable clothes and work gloves

  • Children under 10 are welcome at the farm but should be supervised by a second adulty who is not going to be volunteering.

After the session, the volunteers are of course, welcome to visit the farmyard. Almost all the lambs are born and the kid goats are due any day – very cute!
